The Final Examination consists of an oral presentation, in the form of a seminar, before the Degree Committee, of a written thesis corresponding to 6 ECTS credits, using digital presentation tools. The thesis, which may be written in either Italian or English, must consist of an individual work—generally not original—providing an in-depth study of one of the subjects included in the chosen study plan, and it may also have an interdisciplinary focus. The preparation of the thesis takes place under the supervision of a faculty member teaching in the Degree Programs in Physics.

Meetings are periodically organized with students to present thesis topics and available supervision opportunities; the most recent proposals can be found at the “Thesis Opportunities” link.

Graduating students in the Bachelor’s Degree programs must upload the final version of their thesis in PDF format through their personal SOL online area by the deadlines established for thesis submission (at least 20 days before the graduation session date), allowing sufficient time for the supervisor to approve it.

Instructions for the upload procedure are available here
